I booked in my camper van at MTS for an MOT. I took the van in on the day early to leave them with the keys. There was a old woman on the reception desk who confirmed my details, took my keys and asked me if I was waiting where upon I said I was not waiting around for the MOT to be done.
Lunchtime that day had come and gone and I'd not heard anything so I rang MTS where the old woman (Sounded like the old women I spoke to earlier that day) answered where I asked about my MOT and all I got was a very very rude response.
She said `We don't call people about MOTs. We do 50 a day we don't have time to call people`. Which I find unfathomable since I've used MTS before for MOT's and had countless MOTs at other garages and they have ALWAYS called me to let me know what happened. So I told her I expected to know how the MOT went so she put me only hold, came back and asked for me reg number which she got wrong about 4 or 5 times. She then put me on hold again and came back and said it had failed so I asked what it failed on. She then put me on hold yet again and came back with these exact words `It needs a ton of welding` and ended talking. As a garage I was expecting them to tell my what it had failed on and then give me a quote for the repairs but this inept human couldn't handle conversation obviously. I asked her about repairs and all I got back was `Our welder isn't in till Monday you'll have to call back then`.
As you can imagine at this point I was p**sed off that this stupid person couldn't even do the basic requirements to complete the job I was paying them to do. However, Monday came and I did get a text saying the van had been looked at by the welder and would require in excess of £1000 of welding. It was much more than the cost I was expecting or hoping for but inevitably the work needed doing so I called MTS and spoke to someone and asked them to proceed with the work. I was told it may take a few days as the garage was busy.
4 days later I get a call to say all the work had been completed and the van was ready for collection. I went up at lunchtime to collect the van where I paid the balance and was given the keys. When I first got into the van I could see it was very dirty and smelled really strong of welding but I drove the van home. When I got home I did a quick walk around and inspection of the outside of the van and could see on the driver step it had this black paint/tar stuff but it was a really messy job as in the black stuff was covering quite a bit of the paintwork of the actual van.
Today is Saturday and in the light of day I went out to try and clean the van inside of the dirt and inspect it further. All I can say is they have taken so little care of my van with this black paint/tar with splashes of it all over the dashboard, driver seat, door frame and fire extinguisher (The van has a small fire extinguisher mounted behind the driver seat but is covered in black dots of paint). The footwell is an absolute mess and even though I cannot comment of the welding I can say they have made zero effort to protect the inside of the van. After spending a good hour wiping the entire dashboard and inside the driver cockpit down I'm now left with these dried on black dot over everything and its dried now and will not come off.
I'm yet to speak to MTS as there not answering there phone but I'm absolutely disgusted with the way have left my vehicle after spending more than £1000 I'd expect much better. I will NOT ever be using MTS as a garage again! A complete Mickey mouse outfit who can't do a job properly.

Had my Mercedes sprinter MOT at this garage, failed on front brake pads & handbrake, had the work done by a reputable Mercedes Machanic, had a retest at this garage again, failed on handbrake, got Mercedes to check handbrake it was good, took my van to a different mot station and passed, but after speaking with mts maybe the brakes hadn’t bedded in properly ( I would like to add excellent customer services and very friendly

I've been using these guys for MOTs since they were based in Ironbridge, back in 1991, with the exception of 3 times back in the 90s when I tried other places just for comparison. I say comparison because, after trying these 3 places, I've returned to MTS and had them redo a full MOT service to see what they find, having discussed my concerns as to what I was sure would fail in my own pre mot checks vs what had been failed. Each time, MTS picked up issues that were missed, supporting my concerns, which draws light on how good their working ethics are for me.
Recently, for example, their MOT inspector had picked up where a suspension coil base had rotted out in my Jeep GC, which couldn't be seen by the untrained eye and was quite perplexing. Once the whole area had been stripped out however, it turned out the base cap was corroded. He has eagle-eyes for sure, and gets my thumbs up!
I would recommend them anytime.

Great service!! They go above and beyond at MTS.
I’ve always Used the guys at MTS for many years now, but I have to say Stuart and the team have been brilliant this last few weeks , we unfortunately found ourselves with two cars in need of repair, very costly repairs due to big faults from the cars manufacturers.
Stuart took ownership of over seeing the repair and managed to get us up and running quickly for the one car which we are very grateful for , as we needed the car to go away in.
We have a longer wait for the second car to be fixed due to parts on order from the manufacturer , but again the team at mts have it all under control and update us promptly,
Stuart has been very helpful in helping us with warranty’s and information for us to take to the car’s manufacturers
Also helped us with a little car for a few days to get us from a to b.
It’s always a pleasant experience with them.
The mechanics all seem knowledgeable, prices are reasonable and fair , they are always very prompt with updates for us, and staff are polite.
They work very hard to get us back on the road , even though there very busy.
We Will continue to take our cars there always.
Thank you so much all at Mts and especially Stuart. Brill!

Used the guys at MTS for almost 7 years now, and had nothing but a pleasant experience with them.
The mechanics all seem knowledgeable (those that ive spoken to), prices are all competitive (compared to other indie garages and specialists), they've always been prompt with updates for me, and everyones as polite as id expect.
Will continue to take my cars there and be a happy customer.

1. They failed the Exhaust emissions even though every other car is spitting flames and they pass flying colours.. They then said my Exhaust is leaking but there are ZERO leaks as this was checked prior and after this outcome.. and my engine is inoperative too
2. They said my windscreen is defective due to a sunstrip.. there is no sunstrip
3. Head lamps aimed too low apparently.. the beam is horizontal 🧐
4. Driver's airbag supposedly missing.. it's blatantly not
5. They decide to keep your car with no communication which has caused issues getting to work too. Brilliant all round
